A health coach is a wellness professional and mentor who helps people make changes to their nutrition and lifestyle. We meet clients where they are at so they feel confident and successful making steps towards their unique health goals. We are focused on the science of why, we as humans, do what we do and help prime the mind and body for supportive routine changes (which have a huge impact on our gene activity and cell biology!).
A: That's why we struggle to make lasting changes in our lives. Even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong, we often—as humans—fall short.
A: We see each other as partners, with a goal of helping people feel their very best through approaching the whole person.
Uniquely, we support people in all of the in-between time. We help people hold themselves accountable, see how they might be getting in their own way, celebrate their wins together, and support them to overcome challenges when making changes. Health coaching really focuses on the psychology of behavior to support action, and in return, results.
We focus on nutrition, lifestyle, mindset, but also love partnering with specialists, family medicine doctors, dietitians, nutritionists, therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and other functional medicine practitioners. We fill in the gap to support their patients/clients to follow through on their treatment plan/protocol, as well as add any additional personalized support that is needed around nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset for their patients to see the best results as possible. It's a win win for clients and practitioners/doctors!
It’s important to note that a health coach does not treat diseases and symptoms or give medical advice. That's why we pair nicely with other medical professionals!
Our bodies are delicate systems, so it’s not unusual for them to get out of whack from time to time. Your body’s digestion, mental function, hormones, mood, etc. are all beautifully interconnected. When one system is disrupted, the other systems are affected, too. So, we look at the why behind your symptoms to help us to understand the BIG picture.
We believe that every symptom tells a story, so our practice focuses on a whole-body approach that works to address the root causes of imbalance. We address blood sugar balance, sleep, stress management, and the body’s ability to detox through nutrition and lifestyle habit change.
Once we get a better understanding, we can customize a plan just for you, including healthy habits you can add into your daily routine, tips on what and how to eat, how to manage stress, how to fit movement into your day, and much more. Part Sherlock Holmes and part teacher, we work to identify what your body needs and help you understand how you can feel better.
